In the mean time, you can inspect past projects and have a look at the general information section.

Selected Past Projects

AI Drone Pilot (HWS2020/21): With the ongoing trend towards drones in many areas of applications like shipping and delivery, geographic mapping, disaster management, weather forecasting and so on it is of critical importance to have safe, reliable and fast drone control system. This Master Team Project focused on hands-on experience with drone software systems in combination with AI concepts in a playful environment. The international team developed a drone flight control system on top of a virtual simulation environment and participated in an internal competition for the best AI pilot.

    Project Sponsor

The MTP will be organized by the Institute for Enterprise Systems (InES) in cooperation with the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (Romania, https://www.cs.ubbcluj.ro/en/). The MTP will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Heiner Stuckenschmidt.

    Project Goal

The subject matter of both Master Team Projects between students of the Babes-Bolyai University and the University of Mannheim will be the implementation of a software prototype.

    Project Setup

    • Total duration: 6 months

    • In the previous years these Team Projects have always gone along with a trip to Romania to get to know the other part of your Team. Unfortunately this year due to Corona it seems unlikely that there will be this trip. But we don’t want to rule out the possibility completely.

Required skills for both MTPs are experience in version control systems (e.g. git), an open-minded character, outstanding teamwork abilities, and great communication skills. Such a project is a great opportunity to refine these skills, make experiences in an international software development context, and of course, have a lot of fun!
